Go to Futian Checkpoint, not Futian railway station.
Follow departure signs, clear mainland exit, cross the walkway and clear Hong Kong entry.
Board East Rail at Lok Ma Chau; check onward interchange and the last train.
Spur Line hours differ from the new 24-hour Huanggang passenger crossing.
Arrange assistance and confirm lifts, ramps, walking distances, luggage rules and child restraints with your actual operator. A mode label does not certify a step-free journey.
For private cars, cross-border permits and vehicle approval are required. A normal mainland taxi or rental car is not a cross-border booking.
Weather & typhoon checks
Check official warnings and the actual service status before leaving. Ferries can be changed or cancelled; an available road route does not make travel safe during severe weather.
The new Huanggang passenger port opened on 12 October 2026 with 24-hour passenger clearance. The old Lok Ma Chau passenger facilities and old Yellow Bus arrangement have ended.
Confirm the new terminal entrance and the final actual coach or onward service. A 24-hour border does not mean every transport service runs overnight.

How automatic updates work
This page checks our transport feed every minute while visible. Border hours are rechecked against the official source about every 15 minutes.
MTR predictions refresh about every minute. They are operator estimates from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau toward Admiralty, not a guarantee that you can clear the border or board.
The Marine Department’s open ferry files are checked automatically; outdated files are rejected. If no current board is available, use the official booking and terminal links. Arrival times in Hong Kong are not departures from Shekou.
High-speed trains, airport transfers and coaches require a date, direction and operator. Their availability is confirmed in the official booking system.
A failed source check is shown as stale or unavailable. The local clock never refreshes a source timestamp. Border countdowns refer to published opening hours, not queues, eligibility, temporary closures or transport departures.
