Using this site,
in plain terms.

Last updated: August 2026. LifeShenzhen is an independent site and one-person business operated by Giovanni, based in Shenzhen, China. Questions about anything on this page: [email protected].

By using lifeshenzhen.com you accept the terms below. They cover the site itself; paid work is governed separately by the service terms.

What this site is

It is one person’s independent guide to Shenzhen, written from living here since 2018. It is not an official source, a legal, immigration, tax, medical or financial adviser, and it is not affiliated with any government body, school, hotel or restaurant mentioned on it.

Accuracy, and its limits

I check what I publish and date the pages that carry volatile information, but Shenzhen changes quickly. Prices move, rules on visas, vehicles and border crossings are revised, and businesses close without notice. Anything that carries a cost or a legal consequence should be confirmed against the official source or the business itself before you act on it. Where a page says to confirm something, that instruction is doing real work — please follow it.

I am not liable for losses arising from relying on information here. That is not me disclaiming care; it is the honest limit of what a guide written by one person can promise.

Prices shown on this site

Hotel, restaurant, school, service and product figures are estimates and typical ranges, not quotes or offers. A price becomes a commitment only in a written quote I send you.

Links out

Links to official sites, booking platforms, schools and businesses are provided because they are useful. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Content and copyright

The writing, layout and original photographs are mine. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back. Republishing pages wholesale, or feeding the site into a product without permission, is not. Some photographs are used under Creative Commons licences and are credited where they appear; those remain the property of their photographers and carry the licence terms shown.

Contact

Corrections are genuinely welcome — if something here is wrong, tell me at [email protected] and I will fix it and re-date the page.

Buy & Sell marketplace

Added 15 October 2026.

Buy & Sell connects local buyers and sellers. Sellers are responsible for the items they offer, accurate descriptions, photographs they have the right to use, and the contact information they choose to share. Only items you own and are entitled to sell may be listed. Illegal, dangerous, recalled or counterfeit items and service advertisements are not accepted.

Listings are reviewed before publication and may be rejected, hidden or removed. Review is not a guarantee of identity, ownership, condition or safety. Buyers and sellers agree payment, inspection and collection directly. LifeShenzhen does not take payment, hold funds, deliver items or provide a purchase guarantee. Use the report option to flag a listing that needs review.
