Know your terminal before you go
Use Terminal 3 for check-in, security and baggage reclaim — including flights assigned to the satellite concourse.

Follow arrivals signs, collect your bags and complete the required border and customs checks. Missing checked bag? Speak to the airline’s baggage desk before leaving reclaim. Then follow signs to the Ground Transportation Centre (GTC).

The airport advises 2–3 hours before domestic flights and 3–4 hours before international or regional flights. These are planning buffers, not check-in deadlines: your airline’s flight-specific cutoffs still apply. Add time for holidays, assistance and checked baggage.

For T3, use Airport station (机场), connected through the GTC. Airport North (机场北) is a different stop; Line 20 passengers change to Line 11. Airport East (机场东) is not the direct T3 station. Check your exact direction and final onward train.

Official taxis queue at GTC level 2 east, outside Gate 13. App cars use designated level-1 areas; follow the pickup zone shown in your app. The airport lists 24-hour taxi service, but queues and traffic vary. Use official queues, not unsolicited drivers.

Ask at the GTC Gate 17 airport-express counter for your stop. Published night routes include NA1 for Futian–Luohu, NA2 for Shenzhen North, T308 for Buji and T314 for Bao’an–Nanshan. They do not all run through the night; confirm the actual last departure.
Bus routes, fares & operating windowsIntercity rail
The Suishen intercity railway has a Shenzhen Airport (深圳机场) stop connected at B1. This is not Metro Line 11, and Shenzhen Airport North is a separate railway stop. Search 12306 for the travel date and exact station pair.
Check official train times & faresLanding after midnight? Check the night-bus counter first, or plan an official taxi or airport hotel. A scheduled landing time is not the time you will reach the transport platforms.
Parking: short stay or a longer trip?
Published airport tariffs for private small cars, checked 25 September 2026. Confirm signs and charges at entry.

These are caps for each successive 24-hour period, not cumulative totals or flat entry fees. The first 15 minutes are free. Regular parking starts at ¥10 for the first hour, then uses stepped half-hour charging. Long-stay starts at ¥10 for the first hour, then ¥2/hour within the first 24 hours and ¥3/hour afterwards, subject to the caps.
Important: enter the actual P3 discount zone
Use the P3 northeast entrance and follow signs to the separate long-stay barrier at L9 in the southeast of P3. The designated area covers L2–L9 and has 281 published spaces, first come until full. Parking elsewhere in P3 does not qualify. Walk to the terminal; do not follow old P4 long-stay shuttle instructions.
- Pay using supported airport payment channels, WeChat/Alipay, ETC or cash at a staffed exit.
- The airport asks drivers to exit within 15 minutes after payment.
- Ask the airport about accessible-space reservations and eligibility for concessions. No live space availability is shown here.

Useful services across T3 and the satellite. Landside, domestic and international areas are separate; a listed facility may not be accessible on your itinerary.
Free airport Wi-Fi
Connect to Airport-ShenZhen-Free. The airport lists mobile-number verification and Wi-Fi password kiosks as login options. If your overseas number cannot receive the code, ask a service desk about kiosk access. The service is listed as available 24 hours.

The International Service Centre is on T3 Level 1, east of the international arrivals exit, and operates 24/7. Ask for help with supported overseas cards and mobile payments, short-term SIM cards, transport cards and bilingual city information. Provider terms, identification requirements and charges vary.

Paid luggage storage is at the business centre in T3’s Level 4 departures hall: Door 1, at the end of Check-in Island A. The airport lists a 24-hour, year-round service. Confirm the current fee, size limits and collection arrangements at the desk; no fixed storage price is quoted here.

For items lost in T3 or the satellite, contact the 24-hour lost-property desk at T3 Level 4, Door 1, end of Check-in Island A: +86 755 23456789. For an item left onboard or a missing or damaged checked bag, contact your airline or the baggage-service desk before leaving baggage reclaim.

Standard nursing rooms beside toilets are listed as open 24 hours. The larger room beside T3 domestic Gate 328 opens 06:30–22:30. The airport also lists play areas opposite Gate 315 and near the satellite’s four concourse arms; children need a parent with them. Access depends on your flight’s departure zone.

Request airport assistance at least 24 hours ahead through +86 755 23456789 or the official airport WeChat service. Accessible toilets, lifts and designated rest areas are available. Aircraft wheelchair, stretcher and unaccompanied-child services must be arranged with your airline under its rules. Ask about the full route if your flight uses the satellite.

For urgent medical help, alert airport staff immediately and give your terminal, floor and gate. Dial 120 for a medical emergency in China. The airport lists 24-hour first-aid stations behind the China Southern Pearl Lounge on Level 3 and on the east side of the Level 2 arrivals meeting hall.

Browse the airport’s official dining directory by T3 floor, Ground Transportation Centre or satellite concourse. It includes cafés, Chinese meals and international quick-service options. Some outlets list 24-hour service, but many close overnight or adjust to flight schedules. Check both opening hours and whether the shop is accessible from your departure zone.

Check your departure zone first: T3 domestic, T3 international and the satellite have different lounges. Airline invitations, membership benefits, guest allowances and capacity rules vary. Priority Pass lists separate T3 and T3S options. Confirm your access and the current location with the operator; a lounge pass does not let you cross into an unrelated departure zone.

Hyatt describes a connection on the west side of the terminal. Its opening announcement gives an indoor walk of about five minutes; ask about the current accessible route and any detours. Walking time does not include security or the gate journey.

The official hotel page describes an indoor passage of about five minutes from T3. Follow GTC Gate 14 and the lift to floor 3. A practical option when a road transfer would make an early flight more complicated.

Shenzhen, Hong Kong or Guangzhou?
Compare the whole trip: airfare, baggage, ground travel, border formalities and an overnight if required. A cheaper departure from HKG, CAN or MFM may not be cheaper door to door. Never treat an airport change as a protected airline connection.
Compare flight optionsAirport Pier ↔ Macao Taipa
Shenzhen Airport Ferry Terminal (Fuyong) is separate from T3 and from Shekou. TurboJET currently lists Macao Taipa, not Outer Harbour, for this route. Confirm the sailing date, pier shuttle, fare and weather notice before setting off.

Cathay says its Shenzhen Airport Pier Direct Air+Sea service is suspended from 16 March 2026 until further notice. Shekou is a different port. For any airside ferry, confirm the participating airline, flight eligibility, baggage rules and connection deadline before buying.

Can I check in at the satellite terminal?
No separate landside check-in is required there. Use T3 for check-in and security, then follow your gate directions to the airside people-mover when needed.
Is every part of P3 discounted long-stay parking?
No. You must enter the designated long-stay zone through its separate barrier. Ordinary P3 spaces use the regular tariff. Spaces and prices can change; check signs before entry.
Can I leave the airport during a layover?
It depends on your travel documents, itinerary and current entry eligibility. Confirm with the airline and immigration authorities before planning a city visit. Allow time to return, check in again if required and clear security.
Are all restaurants and lounges open all night?
No. Hours and access zones vary. Check the airport dining directory or your lounge programme for your specific terminal, flight zone and time. Keep a late-night fallback.
