See three centuries of tapestry before it leaves
More than 70 works trace tapestry from 18th-century court craft to modern art, including pieces connected with Matisse, Picasso, Miró and Zao Wou-Ki. This is the exhibition’s final week in Shenzhen.

Get wet, hear live music and stay for the night parade
The Summer Carnival combines water-play areas, live bands and dance groups, street performances, day and night parades and more than 100 performances around the park each day.

‘Glittering Shuibei’ spreads themed markets, stage performances, jewellery sales, workshops, photo stops and a stamp trail through the city’s jewellery district. The district also says Douyin coupons will be available.

The detailed daily timetable is being released through the official Luohu account, so check there before choosing a day or travelling for one workshop.
Athletes alternate eight one-kilometre runs with eight functional workout stations inside the exhibition hall. The compact course and ‘Thunderdome’ viewing area make this unusually easy to follow as a spectator.

The Two Steps From Hell co-founder brings a special Shenzhen concert built around orchestra and choir, with a short solo-piano section added for the concert-hall version.
